Leader Bank, N.A., one of the fastest growing banks in Massachusetts, has an immediate opportunity for a Full-time Teller at our Arlington Center branch. The selected individual will conduct financial transactions between the Bank and its customers while providing superior customer service and proactively cross selling bank products.

Ideal hours: Monday –Wednesday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and rotating Thursday 8 pm schedule; rotating Saturday schedule between branches as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently process/oversee transactions including deposits withdrawals and transfers between the Bank and its customers
  • Provide superior customer service while exploring opportunities to deepen the customer relationship by cross-selling bank services
  • Actively participate in service initiatives and sales promotions
  • Understand and adhere to Bank policies and procedures to ensure operational integrity of the Bank

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cash handling experience, prior Teller experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge and math skills
  • Sales oriented personality and a desire to provide exceptional customer service
  • Must be available to work Saturdays and evenings on a rotating basis and travel between branches as needed

This position will provide analytical and administrative support and leadership to a $600 million and growing commercial lending portfolio, including fully implementing the Bank’s new nCino commercial lending platform system. In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, there will be new and changing assignments and projects based on the needs identified in a dynamic and growing portfolio. This position will report directly to the EVP and Chief Credit Officer of the Bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the production, documentation and portfolio administration responsibilities of the Credit Department
  • Optimize the ongoing use of the nCino commercial platform system
  • Assure quality and consistency for Credit Approval Memoranda and related supporting documentation
  • Independently maintain the Bank’s commercial appraisal ordering and review processes
  • Mentor and train junior analysts and trainees
  • Oversee and support the annual review and financial statement tracking processes
  • Work with lenders to assure property structured credit transactions, including attending joint calls when necessary or convenient
  • Represent the department with regulators, auditors and other examiners
  • Ensure that covenant compliance and financial reporting requirements are addressed
  • Review complex appraisals and/or environmental reports, as needed
  • Review standard commitment letters for conformance with approval terms

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will possess a college degree in business, finance or accounting and 5+ year of credit analysis experience in both CRE and C&I Lending. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Although not required, additional consideration will be given to candidates with Salesforce.com experience.

Description:

Reporting directly to the Chair of the Audit Committee and administratively to the COO, the Internal Auditor will be a key member of the Leader Bank team responsible for providing independent, objective assurance over the Bank’s internal control framework. This role is considered highly visible, responsible for all aspects of the audit cycle, and will be expected to drive change by partnering with all levels within the Bank. This position will also play an important role with FDICIA compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and continually update the existing risk management framework supporting the development of the Annual Audit Plan
  • Responsible for all phases of the audit cycle including planning, execution, testing, reporting, and wrap-up
  • Perform and execute Financial, Operational, Compliance, IT, and Consulting engagement audits
  • Responsible for testing and reporting of results for all FDICIA controls
  • Follow up with issues including tracking and reporting to ensure responsible parties have adequately addressed internal or third party concerns
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Executive Team through periodic meetings and status updates
  • Manage audit-related activities conducted by third-party consultants to ensure timely and complete coverage of the Audit Plan
  • Participates in various Management Committee Meetings (IT Steering, Compliance Committee, Process Improvement Committee etc.)
  • Responsible for quarterly presentation to the Audit Committee on Audit Plan Status (including changes), Issue Follow-up, Independence, Emerging Risks, etc.
  • Responsible for staying up-to-date with changes in banking regulation and industry trends Note: Some travel may be required between Leader Bank locations

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3 -5 years of audit experience with a majority spent in managing the audit, risk, internal control and/or compliance function within a Financial Services company (preferably banking)
  • CPA, CIA, CRCM, CISA or other related certification preferred
  • Experience working with federal regulatory agencies
  • Solid understanding of federal regulations in the banking industry (mortgage banking regulations preferred)
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with audit tools used to improve testing
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and research skills
  • Strong project management, decision-making, presentation and process improvement skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Able to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency
  • Detail, deadline and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic
