Bio
David Tait is a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at Leader Bank with more than 40 years of experience serving commercial clients through community banking and lending. He has built a distinguished career focused on helping business owners, developers, and real estate professionals achieve their financial goals. His experience spans business banking, commercial real estate lending, and residential construction financing, with the past two decades concentrated on construction and commercial real estate lending.
A graduate of Babson College, David's passion for construction extends beyond lending. He previously worked for his family's business, Donald S. Tait Building Construction. This firsthand construction experience provides him with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities faced by builders and developers, allowing him to deliver practical guidance and tailored financing solutions throughout the development process.
Throughout his career, David has worked exclusively with Boston-area community banks and joined Leader Bank’s Commercial Lending division in 2024.
A lifelong Massachusetts resident, David grew up in Belmont and now resides in Burlington with his wife. He is deeply involved in his community, serving as an elected Burlington Town Meeting Member for more than 25 years and as a member of the Town's Finance Committee for 15 years. He and his wife are proud parents of two children and grandparents of two grandchildren.
